Job Responsibilities:
Applies procedural animation techniques to a variety of effects to simulate physical phe
nomenon.
Responsible for designing and creating the look and development of computer generated
FX animation (fire, crowds/flocking, fluids, smoke, etc.), simulations of natural phenom
ena, particle systems, procedural modeling, procedural animation, hard and soft body
dynamics and other similar effects.
Work with EFX Lead in designing technical approaches to projects or sequences.
Participates as a team member in determining various design and technical solutions.
Job requirements:
Experience with particle systems and other advanced techniques for the creation of
natural phenomenon and other visual effects.
Must have a strong understanding of light, color, composition and mood
Ability to distinguish subtle differences that affect the matching of elements created in
multiple mediums
Ability to work as a team with diverse personalities and maintain a sense of humor
Willing to do what it takes to meet production deadlines
Experience with Maya, Combustion, Shake, Photoshop, and AfterEffects
Knowledge of MEL scripting and expressions a plus
BA degree in Art, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience
desired.
